The game between third ranked Neptunas (4-4) and fourth ranked Siauliu Siauliai (3-3) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Neptunas was crushed by Siauliu Siauliai in Klaipeda 90-70. Siauliu Siauliai forced 24 Neptunas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Davida Dale (180-97, college: URI) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Her fellow American import guard Jackie Benitez (178, college: JMU) chipped in 27 points. Siauliu Siauliai's coach Romualdas Petronis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Dalia Donskichyte (165-0) produced 23 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and Agne Cerneckyte (173-96) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Siauliu Siauliai maintains fourth place with 3-3 record. Neptunas at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Siauliu Siauliai are looking forward to face LCC Tarp. (#5) in the next round. Neptunas will play against the league's second-placed Aistes-LSMU in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
