Regular Season Round 7: Vinnystkiye M. - Kyiv Basket 43-74

Superleague top team - Kyiv Basket (14-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Vinnystkiye M. (2-14) in Vinnytsia 74-43. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vinnystkiye M. to just 6 points in second quarter. Kyiv Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Vinnystkiye M.'s 22. Kyiv Basket forced 21 Vinnystkiye M. turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 22-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for the former international center Miriam Uro-Nile (188-94, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Ganna Rulyova (182-86) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Kyiv Basket's coach Volodimir Kholopov felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Larysa Stadnik (185-92) came up with 5 points and 10 rebounds and forward Katerina Tikhonova (176-97) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vinnystkiye M. in the defeat. Kyiv Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-2 record. Vinnystkiye M. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Kyiv Basket will play against Rivne (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vinnystkiye M. will have a break next round.
