Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Besiktas (#13) and Acibadem (#14). Acibadem was defeated at home 76-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Besiktas made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. American guard James Blackmon-Jr (193-95, college: Indiana) chipped in 25 points. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was German guard Ismet Akpinar (193-95, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 31 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American center Josh Owens (206-88, college: Stanford, agency: Network Sports International) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Acibadem's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Besiktas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. Acibadem lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Galatasaray and OGM Orman. Besiktas will meet at home higher ranked Buyukcekmece (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Acibadem will play against Fethiye (#16) and hope to secure a win.
