Regular Season Round 10: Balikesir - Yalova 78-77

Fifteenth-ranked Yalova (1-7) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Balikesir (6-3) on Saturday. Balikesir managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a very good performance for Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: TAMUCC) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points and 9 assists for the winners. Balikesir's coach Mustafa Mavili allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Ali Isik (206-90) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sercan Topcu (188-85) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Yalova. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Balikesir have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kagitspor. Yalova lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Balikesir will face Duzce Belediye (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Yalova will play against Samsun (#5) and hope to win that game.
