Very predictable result in Istanbul where sixth ranked Dacka (6-6) defeated 11th ranked Gaziantep (4-6) 82-75 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American Andrew Andrews (188-93, college: Washington) who scored 25 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Berk Demir (204-95) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Dacka players scored in double figures. Dacka's coach Selcuk Ernak used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Can-Ugur Ogut (178-92) who recorded 17 points and 7 assists and French center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (211-94) added 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Dacka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Afyon. Loser Gaziantep keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Dacka will meet Socar Petkim (#8) on the road in the next round. Gaziantep will play against Turk Telekom and hope to secure a win.
