Very important is a road loss of second ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (5-1) against eighth ranked Bayer Giants (5-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was defeated by Bayer Giants in a tough game in Leverkusen 88-95. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. Bayer Giants made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American JJ Mann (198-91, college: Belmont, agency: GoEmpire Group) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Haris Hujic (193-97) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. American point guard Trey Davis (183-93, college: UMass) came up with 28 points and 7 assists and Kevin Yebo (207-96) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in the defeat. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bayer Giants moved-up to fourth place. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Bayer Giants will play against Nuernberg (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Walter Tigers (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
