Regular Season Round 13: BIPA O. - Politekhn.Lvov 85-64

There was no surprise in Odessa where 7th ranked Politekhn.Lvov (3-5) was crushed by third ranked BIPA O. (7-5) 85-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BIPA O.. Politekhn.Lvov was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Politekhn.Lvov 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. BIPA O. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Evgeni Tkachenko (203-83) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Pavel Revzin (196-83) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four BIPA O. players scored in double figures. Guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and center Volodymyr Orlenko (214-85) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted BIPA O. maintains third place with 7-5 record having just one point less than leader Krivbas. Politekhn.Lvov lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
