Regular Season Round 13: Invasport - Krivbas 55-81

Leader Krivbas recorded the eleventh victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Invasport (0-10) 81-55 in Dnipro. It looked good early as Invasport took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Krivbas had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Invasport was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 55-81. Krivbas dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Invasport's 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Power forward Vladislav Frolov (202-98) nailed 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Maxim Nikitin (201-89) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Center Pavlo Riazantsev (202-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Oleksandr Fomenko (180-86) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for Invasport in the defeat. Five Krivbas and four Invasport players scored in double figures. Invasport's coach Stanislav Kakovkin already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Krivbas. They maintain first place with 11-1 record. Invasport lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
