Regular Season Round 3: Urla - Yalova Vip 70-67

A very close game took place in Izmir between Urla and Yalova Vip. Urla (2-0) got a very close home victory over Yalova Vip (1-2). Urla managed to escape with a 3-point win 70-67 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Marie Benson (185-97, college: UT Arlington) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Yagmur Tasar (173-99) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Urla players scored in double figures. American-Lebanese center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) came up with 17 points and forward Nilay Aydogan (180-92) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Yalova Vip in the defeat. Yalova Vip's coach Abdulgani Basman tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
