Regular Season Round 7: Giessen - Chemnitz 83-95

Chemnitz has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Giessen, where they defeated 46ers (0-7) 95-83 on Friday. Chemnitz dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to 46ers' 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chemnitz made 7 blocks. American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) fired 18 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Canadian forward Isiaha Mike (203-97, college: SMU) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Chemnitz players scored in double figures. American swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: UMass) produced 20 points and the other American import forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown, agency: David Lee Services) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. 46ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chemnitz (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with Bonn. It was 46ers' seventh loss in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost.
