Very predictable result when ninth ranked Brose Bamberg (4-3) defeated at home 15th ranked Telekom Baskets (1-6) 80-66 on Saturday. Brose Bamberg made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American Chase Fieler (203-92, college: FGCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Devon Hall (196-95, college: Virginia, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side international center Leon Kratzer (211-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Benjamin Lischka (204-89) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Bamberg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Braunschweig. Loser Telekom Baskets keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Brose Bamberg will face higher ranked ratiopharm Ulm (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Telekom Baskets will play against 46ers (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
