Everything could happen in Ankara at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Mamak and 9th ranked Duzce Belediye had identical 5-5 record. This time Mamak used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Duzce 91-67 on Saturday night. Mamak made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Duzce Belediye turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: RMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). His fellow American import power forward Anthony Lee (206-91, college: Ohio St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Mamak players scored in double figures. American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-94, college: UNC) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mamak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Samsun. Duzce Belediye lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Mamak's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena Ankara Basket.
