TV Saarlouis Royals' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Hannover, where they edged Hannover (2-5) 75-74 on Saturday. TV Saarlouis Royals forced 20 Hannover turnovers. The winners were led by American swingman Chelsea Waters (186, college: Gonzaga) who scored that evening 14 points and 9 rebounds and Czech point guard Gabriela Andelova (173-96) supported her with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 26 points, 6 assists and 6 steals by Belarusian guard Alexandra Tarasava (172-88) did not help to save the game for Hannover. Slovenian center Teja Gorsic (187-99) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hannover's coach Juliane Hoehne tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TV Saarlouis Royals (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was Hannover's third loss in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Goettingen and Heidelberg. TV Saarlouis Royals will meet at home higher ranked Herner TC (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
