Regular Season Round 7: Kyiv Basket - Vinnystkiye M. 114-29

Superleague top team - Kyiv Basket (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Vinnystkiye M. (2-14) 114-29. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vinnystkiye M. to just 4 points in third quarter and to 11 points in second half. Kyiv Basket held Vinnystkiye M. to an opponent 19.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Kyiv Basket forced 36 Vinnystkiye M. turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kyiv Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Vinnystkiye M.'s players. It was a great evening for international guard Daria Dubniuk (169-2) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 assists. Center Viktoriia Rostotska (184-2) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side Larysa Stadnik (185-92) responded with 5 points and 7 rebounds and guard Victoria Ogiy (170-95) scored 4 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kyiv Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-2 record. Vinnystkiye M. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Kyiv Basket will face Rivne (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
