Regular Season Round 12: Trier - Karlsruhe PS 82-62

We should mention about the upset which took place in Trier, where 9th ranked Lions (4-5) were outleveled in a road game by twelfth ranked Gladiators (3-5) 82-62 on Saturday. Gladiators dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 20. They outrebounded Lions 42-25 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Chase Adams (176-88, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rupert Hennen (184-97) who added 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Maurice Pluskota (209-92) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) scored 7 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiators moved-up to tenth place. Loser Lions keep the ninth position with five games lost. Gladiators will meet higher ranked Schwenningen (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lions will play against Walter Tigers (#14) and hope to secure a win.
