The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Frankivsk's (5-9) road loss to fourth ranked Chaika (8-6) 60-94 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-60. Chaika dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Frankivsk's 28. Chaika forced 22 Frankivsk turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chaika made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international forward Olexandra Radulovich-Kurasova (186-86) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the losing side Viktoriya Karyeva responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Alona Samokhvalova (181-97) scored 18 points.
