Very predictable result in Ankara where seventh ranked Afyon Bld (7-6) beat 12th ranked OGM Orman (4-9) 101-85. Mexican Francisco Cruz (191-89, college: Wyoming) nailed 29 points for the winning side and American point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) accounted for 11 points and 12 assists. Afyon Bld's coach Can Sevim let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American point guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the other American import center Jamelle Hagins (206-90, college: Delaware) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for OGM Orman in the defeat. Five Afyon Bld and four OGM Orman players scored in double figures. Afyon Bld moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted OGM Orman dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Afyon Bld's next round opponent will be Besiktas (#8) in Istanbul. OGM Orman will play on the road against Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) and hope to win that game.
