Regular Season Round 11: Sigortam.net - Final Spor 93-87

There was a small surprise in Balikesir where fourteenth ranked Sigortam.net (5-6) defeated 12th ranked Final Spor (4-6) 93-87 on Sunday. Sigortam.net shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette, agency: Network Sports International) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Brayon Blake (201-95, college: Idaho) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sigortam.net's coach Andac Yapicier used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Terrell Allen (190-97, college: Georgetown) responded with 25 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and center Chris Harris (208-97, college: Houston, agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sigortam.net moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Duzce. Loser Final Spor dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Sigortam.net will face bottom-ranked Istanbul (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Final Spor will play against Yalova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
