Very predictable result when sixth ranked Vagos (6-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Natacao (1-10) 66-50 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Natacao 52-36 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. International center Susana Carvalheira (187-99) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Chelsie Schweers (170-89, college: CNU) chipped in 21 points. Vagos' coach Joao Janeiro used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Martha Burse (168-96, college: Indianapolis, agency: Whitecox Lyons SM) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Beatriz Santos (172-2) scored 12 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vagos. They maintain sixth place with 6-5 record. Natacao lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Vagos will meet Galitos (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Natacao will have a break next round.
