An interesting game took place in Karlsruhe where higher ranked Lions (5-7) were upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Walter Tigers (3-7) 93-82. They made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Walter Tigers forced 24 Lions turnovers. Strangely Lions outrebounded Walter Tigers 29-16. It was a great shooting night for Walter Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American Isaiah Crawley (201-98, college: Georgia South) who helped to win the game recording 28 points. His fellow American import point guard Josh Sharkey (175-97, college: Samford) contributed with 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. Walter Tigers' coach Daniel Jansson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Maurice Pluskota (209-92) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Lions. Four Walter Tigers and five Lions players scored in double figures. Walter Tigers moved-up to thirteenth place. Lions at the other side keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Walter Tigers' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (#15) in Allmendingen.
