A very close game took place in Joniskis between Vilnius and Delikatesas. Thirteenth ranked Vilnius (5-8) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Delikatesas (4-9). Vilnius managed to escape with a 1-point win 64-63 on Wednesday evening. Center Martynas Pacevicius (204-97, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Jokubas Rubinas (187-2) supported him with 14 points and 6 assists. Vilnius' coach Edvinas Justas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. American point guard Justin McCarthur (183-95, college: Shippensburg) added 17 points for lost side. Vilnius moved-up to eighth place. Loser Delikatesas dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Vilnius will meet at home Neptunas-Akv. (#9) in the next round. Delikatesas will play against Ezerunas (#10) in Moletai and hope to secure a win.
