DBBL top team - Gruner Stern Keltern (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (4-4) 80-65. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Eisvogel Freiburg's 24. Gruner Stern Keltern forced 27 Eisvogel Freiburg turnovers. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, college: Dayton) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Belgian Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92) chipped in 10 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian guard Daneesha Provo (183-96, college: Utah) who recorded 17 points and point guard Pauline Mayer (172-1) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gruner Stern Keltern have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record. Eisvogel Freiburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with four games lost.
