Regular Season Round 4: Bursa - Urla 75-50

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Urla (2-1) on the court of top-ranked Bursa on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Bursa 75-50. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Urla. Bursa held Urla to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds and guard Rabia Celebi (167-85) who added 11 points and 4 assists during the contest. Bursa's coach Murat Alkas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Marie Benson (185-97, college: UT Arlington) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and guard Tugce Kanat (173-85) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Bursa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Edremit and Emlak Konut. Urla at the other side dropped to the fifth place with one game lost. Bursa is looking forward to face Duzce Bld (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urla will play against Mersin Univ. (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
