A very interesting game took place in Kocaeli. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Ormanspor (6-7) to ninth ranked Izmit (6-7) 91-89 in the fight for the seventh place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ormanspor. Izmit players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard Erica Wheeler (170-91, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Lithuanian center Egle Siksniute (198-91) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin-American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Serife Onar (167-96) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Ormanspor. Four Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Izmit moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Ormanspor. Izmit's next round opponent will be Kayseri (#12) at home where they are favorite.
