Everything could happen in Bonn at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Telekom Baskets and 15th ranked BG Goettingen had identical 2-6 record. This time Telekom Baskets used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Goettingen 102-87 on Sunday night. Telekom Baskets shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Josh Hagins (188-94, college: UALR, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) contributed with 20 points and 7 assists for the winners. American power forward Tai Odiase (206-95, college: UIC) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Mexican guard Jorge Gutierrez (191-88, college: California) added 19 points and 8 assists in the effort for BG Goettingen. Four Telekom Baskets and five BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. BG Goettingen's coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Telekom Baskets (3-6) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bayreuth and Wuerzburg. BG Goettingen lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Telekom Baskets will face higher ranked Braunschweig (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
