There was no surprise when 11th ranked Socar Petkim (5-7) lost to fourth ranked Turk Telekom (9-5) in Ankara 71-89. It was a great shooting night for Turk Telekom especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Sam Dekker (204-94, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 25 points during the contest. American center Steve Zack (210-92, college: La Salle) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Thomas Wimbush (201-93, college: Fairmont St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Socar Petkim's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Turk Telekom maintains fourth position with 9-5 record. Defending champion Socar Petkim keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. Turk Telekom will play against Tofas (#8) in Bursa in the next round. Socar Petkim will play at home against Acibadem and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
