Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked ETV (2-7) was outscored by fourth ranked Koeln (6-5) in Hamburg 93-74 on Tuesday. Koeln had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Tibor Taras (198-97) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 4 assists. American point guard Vincent Golson (173-94, college: CSUDH) contributed with 9 points, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Mubarak Salami (198-96) replied with 19 points and 6 assists and Leonard Eckmann (196-96) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for ETV. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Koeln maintains fourth position in North with 6-5 record, which they share with Duesseldorf. ETV will play against Rist Wedel (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
