BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Hamburg Towers (6-3) 86-65. EnBW Ludwigsburg forced 21 Hamburg Towers turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by Estonian forward Maik-Kalev Kotsar (211-96, college: S.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Hamburg Towers. American guard Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg and four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Crailsheim. Newly promoted Hamburg Towers keep the sixth place with three games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Bayreuth (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hamburg Towers will play against Rasta Vechta (#18) and hope to get back on the winning track.
