The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Levski Lukoil as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Levski Lukoil smashed 8th ranked Cherno More in Sofia 102-74. Levski Lukoil dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Cherno More's 44. Levski Lukoil forced 19 Cherno More turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a good game for Serbian forward Danilo Tasic (207-93, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: WKU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists for the winners. Four Levski Lukoil players scored in double figures. Swingman Veselin Georgiev (192-86) answered with 14 points and guard Lubomir Keremedchiev (192-3) added 7 points and 7 assists in the effort for Cherno More. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Rilski. Cherno More lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Spartak Pleven and Yambol. Cherno More will play next round against strong Academik Plovdiv trying to get back on the winning streak. Levski Lukoil will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Rilski in Samokov.
