Regular Season Round 12: Naestved - Bakken 78-100

BasketLigaen top team - Bakken (12-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Naestved (8-7) 100-78. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 100-78. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). The other American import forward Ryan Evans (202-90, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Bakken players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Alante Fenner (196-93, college: SSU) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and British forward Samuel Idowu (204-97, college: St.Peter's) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-1 record. Naestved lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Bakken will meet at home league's second-placed Randers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Naestved will play against the league's leader Wolfpack and hope to secure a win.
