A very interesting game took place in Giessen. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Skyliners (3-6) to seventeenth ranked 46ers (2-8) 75-74 on Wednesday evening. 46ers brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown, agency: David Lee Services) who helped to win the game recording 13 points. Johannes Richter (205-93) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. 46ers' coach Rolf Scholz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Matt Mobley (193-94, college: St.Bonaventure) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Skyliners. Four Skyliners players scored in double figures. 46ers maintains seventeenth position with 2-8 record. Skyliners at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. 46ers' next round opponent will be higher ranked BG Goettingen (#16) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
