Regular Season Round 24: Gargzdu - Silales Lusis 73-70

Fifteenth-ranked Silales Lusis (1-16) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Gargzdu (11-4) in Gargzdai. Gargzdu managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Gargzdu shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for swingman Mantas Ruikis (197-85) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Point guard Ernestas Bruzas (182-96) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Rokas Paulauskas (203-93, college: Missouri S&T, agency: Players Group) replied with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Laimonas Remeikis (200-97) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Silales Lusis. Silales Lusis' coach Mindaugas Krisciokaitis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gargzdu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 11-4 record. Silales Lusis lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Gargzdu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Silales Lusis will play at home against Vytis (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
