Regular Season Round 15: Vienna - Timberwolves 110-65

Very expected game when 9th ranked Timberwolves (3-12) were rolled over on the road by third ranked BC Vienna (9-5) 110-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Vienna. Timberwolves was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. BC Vienna forced 22 Timberwolves turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Timberwolves' players. Timberwolves were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Richaud Pack (192-92, college: Maryland) who scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import center David Haughton (201-91, college: Purchase) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five BC Vienna players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian forward Nemanja Nikolic (202-89) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Paul Rotter (190-0) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Vienna have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gmunden. Timberwolves lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. BC Vienna will face Gunners Oberwart (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Timberwolves will play against the league's leader Dukes and hope to win that game.
