Regular Season Round 13: Yalova - Istanbul 63-59

Bottom-ranked Istanbul is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Yalova (4-7) 63-59 on Saturday evening. American players dominated the game. Point guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona) nailed 25 points and 4 assists for the winning side and center Mike Morrison (206-89, college: GMU) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds. Forward James White (204-93, college: Georgia Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and guard Donte Clark (194-94, college: Texas Southern, agency: Network Sports International) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively for Istanbul in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Yalova have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourteenth place. Newly promoted Istanbul still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Yalova will meet higher ranked Duzce Belediye (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Istanbul will play against Merkezefendi (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
