Regular Season Round 13: Sigortam.net - Duzce 70-76

Everything could happen in Balikesir at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Duzce Belediye and 10th ranked Sigortam.net had identical 6-6 record. But Sigortam.net was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Duzce 76-70 on Saturday night. It was a very good performance for American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-94, college: UNC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Brayon Blake (201-95, college: Idaho) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and the other American import point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette, agency: Network Sports International) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sigortam.net. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Duzce Belediye (7-6) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mamak. Newly promoted Sigortam.net keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Duzce Belediye will face Yalova (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sigortam.net will play against Mamak (#8) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
