Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Bodrum and 14th ranked Istanbul Univ. had identical 1-4 record. But Istanbul Univ. was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Mugla 85-76 on Saturday night. Strangely Istanbul Univ. outrebounded Bodrum 40-28 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Loryn Goodwin (175-94, college: OK State) notched 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and forward Helin Boybeyi (184-95) supported her with 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Bodrum's coach Arda Demir used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 30 points and 18 rebounds by American center Brandi Harvey-Carr (193-94, college: Pittsburgh) did not help to save the game for Istanbul Univ.. Forward Meltem Topaloglu (178-99) added 12 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Bodrum (2-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ceyhan. Istanbul Univ. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Mersin Univ. and Botas.
