Regular Season Round 12: Giessen 2 - Hanau 82-79

The most exciting game of round 12 in the ProB took place in Giessen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked White Wings (3-7) to fifth ranked Giessen 2 (6-3) 82-79 on Sunday evening. Giessen 2 made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Giessen 2 outrebounded White Wings 36-23 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-87, college: Fresno Pacific) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Tim Uhlemann (203-99) contributed with 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Giessen 2 players scored in double figures. Naturalized American Omari Knox (187-86, college: Bloomfield) replied with 23 points and 5 assists and Malik Kudic (203-99) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for White Wings. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Giessen 2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position in South with 6-3 record. White Wings at the other side keep the eighth place with seven games lost. Giessen 2 are looking forward to face Muenchen 2 (#6) on the road in the next round. White Wings will play against Speyer and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
