The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Phoenix Hagen's (3-6) road loss to eleventh ranked Kirchheim Knights (5-7) 79-89 on Tuesday. Center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) notched 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American Kyle Leufroy (190-96, college: Lehigh) supported him with 13 points and 5 assists. Kirchheim Knights' coach Igor Perovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-97) did not help to save the game for Phoenix Hagen. American Jermaine Bishop (185-97, college: Norfolk St.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Karlsruhe PS. Loser Phoenix Hagen keeps the twelfth position with six games lost.
