Rather predictable result when first ranked Sportist Svoge (11-1) beat at home 3rd placed NSA (6-4) 69-63 on Tuesday. Sportist Svoge forced 21 NSA turnovers and had a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Boris Matrakov (195-93) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Jimmie Hunt (188-82, college: Franklin Pierce) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Swingman Viktor Serafimov (190-0) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Martin Mandalski (188-99) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. NSA's coach Yavor Asparuhov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sportist Svoge have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Newly promoted Sportist Svoge maintains first place with 11-1 record. NSA at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Sportist Svoge will face Lokomotiv S. (#5) in Sofia in the next round. NSA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Fab Five BUBA.
