Very predictable result when first ranked Blackbirds (10-1) rolled over 10th ranked Lions (1-12) in Jennersdorf 120-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Blackbirds led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 30 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Blackbirds forced 30 Lions turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lions' players. The former international forward Sebastian Koch (201-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. Center Christoph Astl (186-88) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Blackbirds players scored in double figures. Blackbirds' coach Daniel Muellner felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Italian Gianluca Prosek (198-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and guard Sebastian Gmeiner (189-90) added 20 points and 5 assists in the effort for Lions.
