There was no surprise when 12th ranked Duzce Bld (1-5) was outplayed at home by third ranked Antalya 07 (6-1) 87-64. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 48 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Forward Hande Kuzu (182-90) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Lydia Rivers (188, college: Virginia Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Seda Ozturk (-94) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Duzce Bld in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Antalya 07. They maintain third place with 6-1 record behind leader Bursa, which they share with Edremit. Duzce Bld lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Botas. Antalya 07 will play against Karsiyaka (#9) in Izmir in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Duzce Bld will play on the road against Bodrum in Mugla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
