The game in Ivano-Frankivsk supposed to be also quite interesting. Top-ranked Prometey (14-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Frankivsk (5-11). Prometey smashed Frankivsk 118-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Frankivsk's 26 and made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Prometey forced 25 Frankivsk turnovers and outrebounded them 48-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Frankivsk's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Oksana Mollova (188-88) who added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. The former international forward Ganna Rulyova (183-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Alona Samokhvalova (180-97) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Newly promoted Prometey maintains second position with 14-0 record having six points less than leader Kyiv Basket. Frankivsk lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Prometey will meet bottom-ranked Vinnystkiye M. (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Frankivsk will play against Rivne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
