Everything went according to plan when third ranked Samsun (9-5) beat at home 7th ranked Konyaspor (7-6) 109-103 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Samsun made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Konyaspor only scored sixteen points from the stripe. Samsun looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Konyaspor was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-95, college: Niagara, agency: Alti Sport) scored 22 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Ugur Aksoy (207-91) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Murat Esen (195-90) responded with 24 points and guard Murat Goktas (201-87) scored 24 points. Five Samsun and four Konyaspor players scored in double figures. Konyaspor's coach Cengiz Karadag rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Samsun have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Balikesir. Konyaspor lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Samsun will face Manisa (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Konyaspor will play against Final Spor and hope to win that game.
