An interesting game for Bakken (13-1) which hosted in Aarhus second-ranked Vaerlose (4-9). First ranked Bakken had an easy win 108-68. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 38. Bakken had a 40-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vaerlose's players. The former international forward Thomas Laerke (195-91, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Guard Martin Poulsen (195-98, college: Mt.St.Mary's) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Peter Moller (190-94, college: MSU Denver) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. Vaerlose at the other side keeps the second place with nine games lost. Bakken will play against Copenhagen (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vaerlose will play against Svendborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
