Rather expected game in Dornbirn where 10th ranked Lions (1-13) were crushed by eighth ranked KOS (5-5) 87-68. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when KOS's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-16 extending their advantage to 19 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 20. KOS forced 20 Lions turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Marin Sliskovic (200-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Timi Huber (179-92) accounted for 20 points, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. KOS's coach Andrej Bozic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Belgian point guard Francis Torreborre (184-93) came up with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Sebastian Gmeiner (189-90) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Lions in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KOS moved-up to sixth place. Lions lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. KOS will play against higher ranked Nord Dragonz (#5) in Eisenstadt in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lions will play on the road against Raiders Tirol (#4) in Innsbruck to get more than just one victory in their record.
