Regular Season Round 27: Neptunas-Akv. - Suduva-Mantinga 70-75

There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 11th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (5-11) was defeated by third ranked Suduva-Mantinga (14-6) 75-70. Suduva-Mantinga players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 assists. Jonas Zakas (190-97, agency: Players Group) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Guard Matas Vaitkus (183-0) came up with 17 points and 5 assists and Dovydas Romancenko (206-98) added 15 points respectively for Neptunas-Akv. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Suduva-Mantinga maintains third place with 14-6 record having just four point less than leader Jonava, which they share with Zalgiris II. Neptunas-Akv. lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga's next round opponent will be league's leader Jonava on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Silute (#6) and hope to win that game.
