Regular Season Round 15: Kirchheim - Art.Dragons 86-77

An interesting game took place in Kirchheim where higher ranked Artland Dragons (6-4) were upset on the court of tenth ranked Kirchheim Knights (6-7) 86-77 on Saturday. Kirchheim Knights made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: SDSU) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Kirchheim Knights' coach Igor Perovic used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Leon Okpara (194-98) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Kirchheim Knights and four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to seventh place. Loser Artland Dragons keep the fifth position with four games lost. Kirchheim Knights will meet at home league's leader Rostock in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Artland Dragons will play against Schwenningen (#8) and hope to secure a win.
