Very expected game in Marburg where 9th ranked Blue Dolphins (2-4) were defeated by third ranked Herner TC (8-3) 75-67 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian swingman Kristina Topuzovic (183-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Finnish center Sofia Pelander (192-92) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Alexandra Wilke (175-96) with 16 points and American forward Hanna Crymble (190, college: Vermont) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Herner TC have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-3 record having four points less than leader Keltern. Loser Blue Dolphins keep the ninth place with four games lost. Herner TC will face bottom-ranked Hannover (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blue Dolphins will play against the league's second-placed TSV 1880 Wasserburg and hope to win that game.
