There was a minor upset in Stara Zagora where leader Yambol 2 (3-1) was defeated by third ranked Beroe-2 (2-1) 73-68 on Sunday. Beroe-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Yambol 2's players. The best player for the winners was forward Damyan Minkov (197-2) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Center Mladen Georgiev (206-3) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Zlatomir Donchev (201-2) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and point guard Georgi Gerganov (185-3) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Beroe-2 maintains third place with 2-1 record having 9 victories less than leader UE Varna. Loser Yambol 2 still keeps top position with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
