Regular Season Round 16: Mykolaiv - Budivelnyk 80-92

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Budivelnyk (6-7) defeated on the road 10th ranked Mykolaiv (2-10) 92-80. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Mykolaiv was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Budivelnyk players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American guard Gabe DeVoe (190-95, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) supported him with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv. Canadian-Nigerian guard Keith Omoerah (194-92, college: Manitoba) added 16 points and 4 assists for lost side. Four Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Budivelnyk maintains seventh position with 6-7 record. Mykolaiv lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with ten games lost. Budivelnyk's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ternopil-TNEU (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Mykolaiv will play against Khimik (#4) and hope to win that game.
